Asset Test Dates -- Paragould Location

The ASSET is used by many two-year colleges to determine the placement level of students in Math, English, and Reading as established by the Arkansas State Board of Higher Education.

The test will last approximately two and on-half hours, with each segment being timed for 25 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes will be used for preparation work. The results of these three tests will be used to place students into the proper level o Reading, Math, and English.

The ASSET test cost is $5.00, regardless of how many parts of the test are taken. There is a thirty-day waiting period after the first test is taken before it may be taken again to improve a score.

A calculator may be used for the Algebra sections of the test, but not on the numerical math test. You are not allowed to use the following types of calculators: pocket organizers, hand held or laptop comptuers, electronic writing pads or pen-input devices, or models with QWERTY (typewriter style) keyboard. Specifically, the following calculator models are prohibited:

Texas Instruments TI89
Texas Instruments TI92
HP 48GII, 40G, and 49G
