Black River Technical College Paragould offers grant writing services to eligible businesses and industries within Clay, Greene, Lawrence, and Randolph counties.

EWTP Grants -- Grants which can be written all year long
Important Note -- ideally we need 3- 4 weeks notice before training begins, as the state dept must receive the grant app at least 2 weeks before scheduled training.

EWTP for internal training – training brought through BRTC in which one of your employees serves as the instructor and which lasts at least three hours (it can be at your facility or at ours).  This type of grant will yield your company a tax credit certificate based upon $25/hour for instructor fees. This grant must be written by a college. Only manufacturing industries with certain NAICS codes are eligible for these grants.

EWTP for external training – training brought through BRTC in which an instructor from outside your company is used and which lasts at least three hours and includes at least 5 participants.  This type of grant will yield your company direct reimbursement for up to 50% of the training cost, based on $80 per hour for instructor fees. This grant must be written by a college.  Only manufacturing industries with certain NAICS codes are eligible for these grants.

IWTP Grants - Grant which can be written only once a year during a month long window of opportunity (not available this year).

Business IWTP for external training – historically, during years in which the grant program has been active, a business could receive up to $50,000 in direct funding for training which will help the company’s bottom line.
